Štěpánka Havlíková

GENERAL COUNSEL

Štěpánka serves as General Counsel and shares responsibility for the Group’s legal agenda across its business activities and international markets. Prior to joining the Group, she spent more than a decade in private practice and international legal environments, most recently as a senior lawyer at Dentons and, before that, at Kinstellar and CMS Cameron McKenna.

A significant part of Štěpánka’s career has been focused on the technology sector. From 2024 to 2026, she was a member of Meta Platforms’ European legal team, where she advised on the launch of AI and data-driven products in the European and UK markets, preparations for new EU digital regulation, and regulatory engagements with the European Commission and European supervisory authorities.

Her work has been recognised by leading international legal directories, including Legal 500 and Chambers. She has also received the Rising Star of the Year award and was named among the Top 100 Women in the Czech legal sector.

Štěpánka studied law at the Faculty of Law of Charles University in Prague and at Masaryk University in Brno. She also completed part of her studies at the University of Regensburg in Germany and Griffith University in Australia, and earned an LL.M. degree in Germany.

Alongside her legal practice, she has long been engaged in academic research and publishing. She is currently a doctoral researcher at Masaryk University, where her research focuses in particular on legal issues relating to generative artificial intelligence, copyright, and the use of data for AI training. She regularly publishes on these topics in both Czech and international legal and academic publications.
